Year 12 Assessment Letter
Ref: CBH/AMG
26 November 2025
Dear Parent / Carer
As you may be aware, students in Year 12 have recently completed their first round of assessments in lessons, and we are proud of the commitment that they have shown towards these. The results of these assessments have been issued to students in their tutorial session, and have also been uploaded to the My Child at School app for you to view. If you have not yet activated your MCAS account, please go to MyChildAtSchool.com and enter the email address you have registered with us, before selecting the ‘forgotten password’ option. This should send you a link to set a password and have access.
We encourage you to discuss the outcomes of these assessments with your son/daughter, in particular any areas in which they are currently under-performing. Should you have any specific concerns, please contact subject teachers or the Sixth Form Leadership Team, who will be happy to discuss these with you.
Students in Year 12 will sit further formal assessments at the times indicated below, and your support in encouraging students to focus on completing appropriate revision and preparation for these is much appreciated.
Assessment Point and Date
Assessment Point 2 - Week Commencing 10 March 2026
Assessment Point 3 (Mock Examinations) - Week Commencing 15 June 2026
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that if your child currently studies Criminology, they will sit their first Controlled Assessment in Sixth Form on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 December 2025. All students must pass this assessment in order to gain their Criminology qualification.
Should you wish to discuss further the contents of this letter, or any other aspect of your child’s education, please do not hesitate to get in touch with me at the academy.
Yours faithfully
Mrs C Hook
Vice Principal – Post-16
