Dear Parent / Carer
Year 13 Assessment Results
As you may be aware, students in Year 13 have recently completed assessments in lessons, and we are proud of the commitment that they have shown towards these. The results of these assessments have been issued to students and have also been uploaded to the My Child at School app for you to view. If you have not yet activated your MCAS account, please go to MyChildAtSchool.com and enter the email address you have registered with us, before selecting the ‘forgotten password’ option. This should send you a link to set a password and have access.
We encourage you to discuss the outcomes of these assessments with your son/daughter, in particular any areas in which they are currently below target. Should you have any specific concerns, please contact subject teachers or the Sixth Form Leadership Team, who will be happy to discuss these with you.
Year 13 Parental Review Evening
A reminder that on Monday 2 February 2026 we will be holding our Year 13 Parental Review Evening. This provides an opportunity for all parents/carers and Year 13 students to discuss current progress with teaching staff as students approach their mock examinations and build towards the final exam series next summer. An information letter with booking instructions will be sent out for this event in the new year.
Year 13 Mock Examinations
Year 13 Mock Examinations and Study Leave will take place from Monday 23 February 2026 until Friday 6 March 2026. Students will be issued with the exam timetables in the new year, and must be available for examinations throughout the examination period.
To support students in the build up to these examinations, on Wednesday 21 January 2026, our partners The Elephant Group are visiting Sixth Form to run a ‘Meta-Method’ session on revision strategies for all students. This will take place between 2:00pm-3:00pm in the Lecture Theatre, and all students are expected to attend. As such, normal lessons will not run during this period.
Givemas Campaign
We would like to extend a huge thank you to all students and families that have supported with our annual ‘Givemas’ activities this year. Organised superbly by our Year 13 Student Council, our students have collected donations for their chosen charities of Women’s Aid, The Blue Cross and the Oasis South Grimsby Food Bank, as well as volunteering their time to support our wider Academy community.
We would like to wish you and your families a restful festive season, and look forward to working with you all in the new year.
Yours faithfully
Mrs C Hook
