Resilient Netball Team Adapts Play In Torrential Rain

The combined Year 12 and 13 Tollbar MAT Sixth Form College Netball Team.

Year 12 and 13 girls competed in the Under-19 Lincolnshire County Netball Finals Tournament at Stamford.

The girls played a total of nine games against schools from south of the region. They were led by captain Chloe Martin, and scored a total of 36 goals, demonstrating effective build-up of play and accurate passing.

Despite torrential rain, the team demonstrated their resilience and adapted their play accordingly. Some of their best team play was shown in the later games with determination and team spirit shining through. Despite the long drive and unkind weather, the team and their teachers thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to play in the Lincolnshire tournament, which was won by LST Priory.

The team members were: Chloe Martin, Louise Burton, Kelsey Fitz Simon, Hollie Rose Hopkins, Jennifer Boyd, Lucy Wilson, Maddison Button, Amelia Clarke, Ashleigh Bland and Scarlett Bulmer.
