Tollbar MAT Sixth Form College students have been collecting food and toys for Christmas to donate to local charities. The food will be donated to homeless shelter, Harbour Place, and the toys will go to Women's Aid, for distribution into charity shops and allocated directly to their Christmas present campaign.

The students have also continued fundraising for their chosen charity, Teenage Cancer Trust, raising a further £136.20 for their on-going campaign.

Christina Hook, Head of Sixth Form, who is pictured with the trolley of food, said: "I am very proud of the students for collecting such a large amount of food and toys for these worthy causes and for their incredible commitment to the Teenage Cancer Trust. The students continue to fundraise for charity and their enthusiasm for supporting their local community is to be admired."
