Awards For Science Students In Oxford University Olympiad

Year 13 A Level student Mark Toulson successfully completed the British Physics Olympiad Round 1 competition run by Oxford University.

The British Physics Olympiad aims to encourage further study of Physics and recognise excellence. The paper is designed to test understanding and problem solving skills at an advanced level, stretching and challenging the top young physicists in the country in a national competition. Mark was awarded a Bronze certificate. Another Tollbar student, Matthew Stone, was awarded Gold.

Lewis Groves, also a Year 13 student, received an award for participation in the Senior Team Maths Challenge Regional Finals.
