This course will provide you with the opportunity through applied learning to develop the core specialist knowledge, skills and understanding required in the IT sector. There are two mandatory units that are externally assessed. These are the Fundamentals of IT and Global information. The first two mandatory units provide learners with an insight into the IT sector, as you investigate the pace of technological change, IT infrastructure, the flow of information on a global scale, and important legal and security considerations. You will also complete three coursework units, which will be internally assessed and each based on a different brief. The coursework units include Internet of Everything which provides the learners with an awareness of how different technologies are repurposed to extend their scope to be used in the world today. The Social Media and Digital Marketing unit gives the learners an opportunity to create their own digital marketing campaign and the Virtual Reality coursework unit allows the learners to extend their knowledge on the creation of VR products.
