Tollbar MAT Sixth Form College has welcomed a record breaking number of students this month following yet another summer of outstanding A Level results.

The college now has 304 students in total, with 199 joining this month in Year 12 to study academic A Levels, with a view to studying for a degree at university or securing a high-quality apprenticeship.

The new students enjoyed a Freshers' Event, which involved a day of team-building activities, run by Elsham Activity Centre, as an opportunity to meet with fellow students, staff and the Sixth Form Management Team.

The college also has a newly-appointed leader in Chrissie Hook, who has worked for Tollbar Family of Academies for more than a decade. She said: "Our record-breaking intake this September demonstrates that we are once again the institution of choice for students who are truly committed to achieving their academic potential.

"The outstanding results achieved this summer are a testament to the dedication and commitment of both staff and students, all of whom have worked tirelessly in their pursuit of excellence. I look forward to working with all of our students over the next academic year, and have every confidence that they will go on to replicate the successes of this year's cohort.

"Having worked within the Tollbar Family of Academies for the past 12 years, I am delighted to be joining the Sixth Form Leadership Team at such an exciting time."

Tollbar MAT Sixth Form College will hold an Open Evening for Year 11 students on Thursday 21st September from 6:30-8:30pm.
